REMOTE TESTING IS NOW AVAILABLE!!! In order to utilize Remote Testing, you must have access to BOTH of the following:

Mobile smartphone or tablet. The GoToMeeting app will be used as the video/audio app for the Test Proctor to monitor and communicate with candidates during the exam.

Desktop or Laptop PC running Windows 10 or later OR a MacOS 10.13 or later. The Safe Exam Browser will be downloaded to this device in order for candidates to take the exam.

To be considered for employment as a Police Officer with the Little Rock Police Department, applicants must meet the criteria established by the State of Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement, the State of Arkansas Civil Service Statutes, and the Little Rock Civil Service Rules and Regulations (list is not all inclusive). APPLICATION AND PRELIMINARY BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION:

Applicants are required to complete an application and all supplemental questions on-line at

lrjobs.littlerock.gov . Candidates will receive a confirmation email once their application has been submitted successfully. Human Resources will submit all candidates to LRPD personnel for a preliminary background check. If any of the following are found during the preliminary background, the candidate will be automatically disqualified:

Invalid driver's license Prior felony conviction - NOTE: Expunged and/or pardoned felonies still disqualify candidates from employment as a Police Officer. Prior domestic abuse conviction Excessive traffic points accrued within the past three years. Applicants who have successfully completed the on-line application, supplemental questions, and the preliminary background check will receive additional information about scheduling for the written/online exam and physical endurance and ability testing.
