Little Rock Police Department offers:

Hiring Incentive

:

$10,000

-

payable upon completion of the first six months and $5,000 upon completion of twelve months of a 24-month probationary period.

Holiday Premiums

: available up to 4% of annual salary.

Starting salary of up to $67,329 dependent on experience

.

Salary Step Increases up to $80,038.40 at 15 years of service.

Educational Incentives

: payable immediately after Academy graduation. Payments begin at 15 college credit hours and increase up to $2,254.04 annually for graduate degrees.

The candidate must possess:

A current active law enforcement Basic certification

A valid Arkansas Class "D" (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and must maintain licensure for the duration of employment.

Meet any other requirements established by the Little Rock Civil Service Commission and the State Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training.

At least 3 years of patrol experience.

Invalid driver's license

Prior felony conviction (including expunged or pardoned felonies)

Prior domestic abuse conviction

Excessive traffic points within the past three years
