Overview
Our Quincy based Client is hiring an experienced Executive Chef to join their team. They feature a scratch kitchen, craft cocktails, and a New England-based beer list that was voted "Best of Boston" by Boston Magazine in their first year.
Responsibilities
Build a team rapport with General Manager, owner, and entire management Staff
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
Collaborate with Owner on menu creation and special menus
Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
Recruit, Train, and manage kitchen staff
Rectify arising problems or complaints
Give prepared plates the “final touch”
Perform administrative duties
Interact with guests tableside
Maintain and enforce uniform and Kitchen safety standards that conform to Quincy Health Code
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations
Keep time and payroll records
Qualifications
Proven working experience as a head chef
Excellent record of kitchen management
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
Capable of delegating multiple tasks
Communication and leadership skills
Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
