Overview Kin Insurance is redesigning insurance to be smarter, faster, and customer‑centric. We leverage intelligent pricing, seamless bundling, and friction‑free processes to serve homes and other personal property. As a licensed Insurance Sales Representative in our new Agency division, you will focus on our Independent brokerage business, connecting with qualified leads to provide home, auto, umbrella, and flood insurance solutions.
Responsibilities
Connect with customers via calling, email, and text to understand their insurance needs and present suitable solutions.
Communicate the unique features and benefits of various carrier products, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Work primarily with leads provided by the Marketing team to maximize sales potential and conversion rates.
Follow up with prospects using phone, text, and email to maintain contact and drive toward the sale.
Meet and exceed sales targets by employing persuasive sales techniques and actively seeking new business opportunities.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (underwriters, customer service) to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of customer interactions and sales activities in our CRM system.
Build custom policies for each customer using internal tools and systems.
Educate customers on home insurance fundamentals to ensure full understanding.
Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and competitor offerings to effectively position the Agency division.
Qualifications
1+ years of insurance sales experience within a fast‑paced brokerage setting.
Experience selling with multiple carriers and across multiple states (home, auto, umbrella, jewelry).
Active Property & Casualty license.
Outstanding understanding of insurance products and processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage diverse audiences.
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with a natural ability to close deals.
Self‑motivated and results‑oriented, with a demonstrated commitment to achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Proficiency in using CRM software and other tools/software.
Call/Contact Center experience (brokerage experience preferred).
Bonus Points
Bilingual ability (Spanish preferred).
Experience with Citizens Property Insurance.
Shift Requirements
Must be available to work 9 am‑6 pm CST Monday‑Friday.
No weekend requirements.
All shifts are 8 hours plus a 30‑minute lunch break.
Compensation At a Glance On‑target earnings (OTE) start at $65,000, with uncapped earnings and performance‑based incentives. Base salary provides a stable foundation, while commission earnings begin from the first policy sold.
$45,000 base salary.
Uncapped monthly earnings rewarding performance, including:
Ramping compensation plan during the first three months of sales production.
Commission earnings from the first policy sold.
