Therapeutic Specialist, PBC / HCV
you are responsible for representing Gilead's products and services to a defined customer base, generating and growing sales and consistently exceeding sales targets within a specific geographic area, including in‑person representation and face‑to‑face meetings with healthcare practitioners. You will establish strong working relationships with healthcare practices to provide timely delivery of disease awareness information, clinical updates on education, and healthcare changes. You will synthesize complex clinical concepts, tailor presentations to diverse audiences, and use strong presentation and communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals. Therapeutic Specialists also develop an understanding of the issues and opportunities unique to each geography. This position supports the

territory including
Southern Colorado.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for achieving coverage and frequency targets and consistently achieving sales targets in assigned territory.
Contributes to regional training, developing the key skills of other team members.
With guidance, initiates systems to monitor sales progress and action plans; regularly measures success, documents and provides feedback on performance.
May work in collaboration with outside partner companies to co‑promote products or services.
Manages territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events and other miscellaneous external expenditures.
May represent company at professional events and promote company products at such events.
Works cooperatively with Medical Science Liaisons, National Account Managers, Marketing and other internal Gilead team members on various cross‑functional projects.
Assists in the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities and communicates proactively to marketing and sales management.
Completes necessary administrative tasks in a timely manner (e.g., updating customer database, expenses).
Communicates and functions across the commercial team, ensuring efficient collaboration on projects.
Operates in compliance with Gilead commercial compliance policy and all applicable federal and state laws and guidance related to product promotion and information dissemination.
Represents Gilead’s products and services to a defined customer base within a specific geographic area.
Utilizes product and therapeutic disease knowledge to promote the appropriate use of Gilead products to healthcare professionals.
Prepares business plan for own territory, assigns targets and communicates required actions to achieve goals.
Works as an individual contributor, builds and extends business relationships with key customers or accounts, and achieves competency levels required in the role.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of sales experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry; OR
Master's degree and 2+ years of sales experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry; OR
PhD and 0+ years of sales experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Prior experience in an appropriate therapeutic area is highly desired.
Achievement of any mandatory country‑specific pharmaceutical sales certifications is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven expertise in interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, along with strong influencing and negotiating skills.
Working knowledge of relevant therapeutic/disease/product area.
Familiar with industry trends and current competitor resources, able to discuss product protocol pros and cons.
Ability to identify rising issues/opportunities and present arguments to management/marketing.
Solid analytical skills; able to identify and understand moderately complex issues and problems and interpret information to provide recommendations.
Ability to work in cross‑functional teams and self‑motivated with autonomy.
Previous pharmaceutical experience and relevant therapeutic knowledge is desirable.

The salary range for this position is: $115,260.00 - $149,160.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock‑based long‑term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company‑sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
