FAR INSPECTIONS
FAR Inspections is looking for highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Independent contractors earn predictable full‑time or supplemental income and enjoy a flexible schedule.
These inspections verify property occupancy and report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only; about 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract inspectors at a county level. You will be responsible for completing all inspections in your county and may split the county with another inspector if volume requires.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Most inspections take 5–6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days of assignment.
Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos with brief comments.
Complete a short form in the mobile app.
Be able to spend extended periods driving with numerous stops.
REQUIREMENTS
Computer with internet connection.
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage).
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Pass a standard background check with a valid driver’s license.
PAY & HOURS This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Rates vary by county and volume, with the equivalent of
$30–$40 per hour . Expect to complete anywhere from 20 to 500 inspections per month working 2–30 hours per week, depending on the county’s volume. There is no mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
