Pay
Base pay range: $25.00/hr - $35.00/hr. This range is provided by RSS Mobile Trailer Repair. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
About Us RSS Mobile Trailer Repair is a growing powerhouse in the Trucking Industry. RSS has been in business for over 30 years, and has nearly 400 team members located in 15 states! We are currently looking to expand our team in the Toledo, OH area.
About The Job A successful candidate for this position would be a Trailer Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years experience, with a strong understanding of semi-trailer diagnostics and repair. Someone who is self-motivated, safety-minded, and is able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers.
What We Offer
$25-$35/hour, or commensurate with experience.
Quarterly performance Bonus after 90 days.
Schedule: Monday-Friday/Days.
Up to 2 weeks vacation.
Benefits: medical, dental, vision, Life Insurance.
Paid holiday.
401K.
Bi-weekly paychecks. Overtime after 40 hours.
Clothing & boot allowance after 90 days.
Tools and service truck supplied by RSS.

Responsibilities
Inspect and diagnose malfunctions on all trailer systems.
Troubleshoot, repair and replace defective components.
Perform regular check-ups and preventative maintenance on trailers and parts, including ABS, air brakes, frame, body, suspension and electrical systems.
Coordinate with other staff, receive & execute work instruction in a timely & proper manner.
Help maintain positive working relationships with current customers.
Properly operate the mobile Service Truck.
Follow all safety requirements while servicing trailers and while driving the Service Truck.
Requirements
Must have over 5 years of direct Trailer Mechanic experience.
Valid Driver's License.
Ability to pass the DOT physical and drug screen.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Outdoor, mobile service mechanic.
