The Ruminant Account Manager is responsible for discovering sales opportunities and supporting product positioning within the Devenish ruminant portfolio, with a primary focus on the Midwest feedlot sector and secondary emphasis on cow-calf. This role will work closely with feed mills, cooperatives, nutritionists, and on-farm customers to deliver tailored nutritional technologies. The Ruminant Account Manager should be familiar with the beef cattle industry and able to identify customer needs and sales opportunities. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure products and solutions meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

Gain a strong commercial understanding of the Devenish’s nutritional products, services, and technical capabilities.

Build and maintain strong relationships with feed mills, cooperatives, industry nutritionists, and beef cattle producers.

Develop and implement detailed sales strategy for each product solution with primary focus on the Midwest feedlot sector and a secondary focus on the cow-calf sector.

Support on-farm implementation of nutritional solutions and troubleshoot performance challenges.

Optimize sales of product solutions by utilizing current technical, R&D & marketing resources.

Identify sales opportunities & position solutions where they provide value to the customer.

Collect market intelligence to better position Devenish solutions to the industry.

Collaborate with internal R&D team to further develop marketing data required to improve value of Devenish product offering.

Assist the broader commercial team in expanding reach and adoption of Devenish solutions.

Provide feedback to management regarding customer concerns and product performance.

Liaise with marketing team to develop data-driven promotional initiatives.

Functional involvement with all personnel directly involved in sales of Devenish nutritional solutions (Research, Product Development, Customer Service, Operations, Logistics, Marketing, Accounting, etc.)

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of feed, feed ingredients, feed supplements, animal husbandry and basic animal nutrition

Well-rounded technical sales background, preferably in beef cattle nutrition.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse customer segments.

Exceptional time management, positive communication skills, self-motivated and desire to work as part of a team

Familiarity with feed manufacturing processes and distribution networks.

Compensation Rage

$100,000 – $130,000

Location : Midwest U.S.

Reports To : Beef Division and Nutrition Manager
