About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate Structural Engineer to join our team in Amman, Jordan. As part of our Building Projects Design Management Office (DMO), you will play a crucial role in designing and analyzing structures for various building projects.
Responsibilities
Develop structural designs and calculations for building projects, ensuring compliance with local and international building codes and standards
Collaborate with architects, other engineers, and project managers to create efficient and innovative structural solutions
Perform structural analysis using specialized software to evaluate the integrity and safety of designs
Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports
Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and monitor construction progress
Assist in the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates
Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients and team members
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in structural engineering
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
12 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably with a focus on building projects
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and structural analysis software
Strong knowledge of building codes and standards
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Familiarity with local building regulations and construction practices in Jordan is a plus
Willingness to conduct occasional site visits and travel as required
