CDL B Driver - Inside Sales
Location: Kansas City, KS – Retail shop
Job Overview Airgas is hiring for a hybrid Inside Sales and CDL Backup Driver position in Kansas City, KS. This role blends driving expertise with customer service, making you the front line of our operations.
Responsibilities
Full-time consistent scheduling.
Pay begins at $30/hour.
Monday through Friday, with possible alternating Saturdays on call in case of business needs.
Excellent Benefits after 30 days.
Primary Duties
Build Relationships: first point of contact for customers, guiding them to the right products.
Drive Growth: engage in inside sales, provide quotes, solve customer needs.
Ensure a Smooth Operation: keep store running smoothly—organize merchandise, process sales.
Be a Reliable Backup: use your Class B CDL to deliver gases and welding products when a regular driver is out.
Qualifications
At least one full year of Class A or B CDL driving experience within the past 5 years, or recent graduate from an accredited driving school.
Customer service skills and proactive attitude.
Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement, or ability to obtain upon offer.
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and at least 21 years of age.
Physical ability to lift 25‑75 lbs routinely, up to 125+ lbs with assistance; capable of bending, walking, standing, driving up to 8 hours a day.
Familiarity with sales platforms or ability to learn new systems like SAP, CRM, or basic order entry.
