Temporary Accounts Payable Data Entry Specialist

Full-time, Monday-Friday Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Payable Data Entry Specialist to support our finance team. This hybrid position requires 2-3 days per week in our Emeryville office. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with QuickBooks Desktop and strong data entry skills. Key Responsibilities Enter and process accounts payable invoices accurately into QuickBooks Desktop Match purchase orders with invoices and receiving documents Code invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts Process vendor payments and maintain vendor files Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Scan and file AP documentation electronically and physically Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable Generate AP aging reports and other financial reports as needed Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status Maintain confidentiality of financial information
Required Qualifications
MUST HAVE: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop (Pro, Premier, or Enterprise) High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience in accounts payable and data entry Strong attention to detail with 98%+ accuracy rate Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook Ability to process high volumes of invoices efficiently 10-key proficiency (8,000+ KPH preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with purchase order systems Knowledge of basic accounting principles Experience in a fast-paced environment
Work Requirements
Ability to work on-site in Emeryville 2-3 days per week Reliable transportation to Emeryville office Available for immediate start Able to commit to full assignment duration
Compensation
Hourly rate: $22-28/hour DOE Temporary position with potential for extension based on business needs
