Color Designer – Apparel
Our client is seeking a fast-moving, detail-driven Color Designer who thrives in a high-volume apparel environment and brings a sharp eye for market-relevant color execution. This individual blends creative instinct with operational discipline, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver polished, consumer-focused color solutions under tight timelines. The ideal candidate is confident working at scale, adaptable to ambiguity, and energized by pace, precision, and impact.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Responsibilities Execute end-to-end color design for apparel, owning accuracy and consistency through final product delivery. Develop seasonal, category-specific color stories that align with consumer insights, market trends, and brand direction. Partner closely with design, development, merchandising, and materials teams to deliver viable, market-ready color solutions. Review and approve samples, clearly communicating updates and refinements through final confirmation. Manage color calendars, timelines, and design systems to ensure on-time execution across multiple styles and seasons.
Color Designer – Apparel Qualifications Proven experience in true apparel color design (color development experience alone is not sufficient). Background working with large, fast-paced apparel brands; experience with global-scale product lines strongly preferred. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft tools; ability to work efficiently within digital design systems. Strong understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscapes as they relate to color. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience; 2–4+ years in a comparable role.
Compensation Up to $40/hr. (DOE)
