VP of Community Impact
Women's Foundation for the State of Arizona, Phoenix, Arizona, United States
Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Community Impact is an innovative and effective manager who provides strategic leadership in the Community Impact department for the Women’s Foundation for the State of Arizona (WFSA). This position focuses on the design, implementation, management and evaluation of all WFSA community impact programs. This role works closely with the WFSA CEO, community stakeholders, and funders to build strategic partnerships and collaborations that result in mission‑aligned outcomes for the organization and the community. This position plays a critical role in supporting effective community‑based grantmaking and programs that advance the mission and vision of the Foundation.
This is a full‑time, salaried, exempt position with an annual salary of $110,000 with regular opportunities for review and enhancement.
While this position is currently remote, the final candidate’s primary residence must be within the state of Arizona. WFSA engages in thoughtful community partnership, which requires regular travel from all staff across the state; this position requires at least 15% travel throughout the state of Arizona and 5% outside of Arizona. To support our team’s efforts, WFSA covers all travel expenses incurred by staff.

As WFSA’s community impact leader, you’re ready to use your program management expertise, relationship‑building skills, and passion for social change to design, implement, and evaluate initiatives that create lasting transformation in partnership with grantees and community stakeholders.
Qualifications
You bring at least five (5) years of experience in grantmaking, direct service program management, or advocacy work focused on relevant social services issues.
You have a bachelor’s degree in business management, nonprofit management, or a human service‑related field (preferred).
You are an innovative and effective manager ready to provide strategic leadership in community impact work.
You possess progressive experience in project management, program management, or community engagement, with a track record of collaborating with diverse, multi‑racial teams.
Your expertise lies in program development and implementation, including research, strategy design, and program evaluation.
You possess strategic insight and leadership abilities that contribute to the long‑term growth of WFSA, driving impactful change.
You’re mission‑focused and results‑driven, with strong analytical capacity and a commitment to trust‑based philanthropy practices.
You’re skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships with nonprofit leaders, grantee partners, philanthropic institutions, and community stakeholders, and adept at engaging folks in ongoing dialogue and collaboration.
You’re a respectful and ethical representative of WFSA, embodying our values in all interactions.
Your genuine passion for women’s issues shines brightly, aligned with your unwavering dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion; you are willing to work alongside colleagues to build an anti‑white supremacy organizational culture.
