Accounting Specialist Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Eastham, Massachusetts. This role offers flexibility with part-time or up to 40 hours per week, with 40 hours preferred. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth accounting operations. Responsibilities: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness. Perform billing functions, including generating and sending invoices. Reconcile accounts to ensure financial records are up-to-date and accurate. Handle general accounting tasks, maintaining compliance with company policies. Utilize Sage software to manage accounting processes and maintain financial data. Conduct job cost analysis to track and control project expenses. Reconcile credit card transactions and resolve discrepancies. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless financial operations. Prepare financial reports and provide insights into company finances. Requirements: Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Strong knowledge of billing functions and account reconciliation. Proficiency in general accounting practices and principles. Familiarity with Sage software and its accounting tools. Ability to perform job cost analysis and manage project-related expenses. Experience with credit card reconciliation and resolving discrepancies. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
