About the role As a Dealer Account Manager, you will educate and train our current dealer partners, acquire new contacts, manage and consult on sales activities and account development, and ensure quality and consistency of product and service delivery for dealers within your assigned area.

You will be responsible for building strong relationships, providing consultative sales, and driving the Westlake Program growth.

Responsibilities

Prepare presentations and proposals to communicate company products and services to all levels of management within independent and franchise dealerships.

Identify sales prospects and contact assigned accounts.

Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.

Develop, maintain, and grow current and potential dealer partners within the independent and franchise dealer communities.

Communicate through phone and in‑person visits to train on current programs and funding requirements.

Provide solutions and restructure vehicle loans for profitable approval.

Assist in preparing sales contracts and educating dealers on verification requirements.

Maintain up‑to‑date sales materials and product knowledge.

Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.

Qualities & Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in automotive, finance, and sales (required).

1–2 years of previous experience in an outside sales role with a proven track record.

College degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.

Strong computer skills and adaptability to new technology.

Goal‑oriented with a desire for improvement and advancement.

Ability to communicate and work amicably with diverse teams.

Experience with DealerTrack, RouteOne, or CUDL beneficial.

Significant local travel; valid state driver’s license required.

Pay and Incentives

Target first‑year income: $60,000–$130,000.

Self‑determined, performance‑based compensation package.

First‑year guaranteed minimum income starting at $5,000/month + commissions; thereafter $1,000/month base + commissions.

Average earnings after 1 year: $160,000.

Average earnings of top 25% reps: $245,000.

Average earnings of top 50 reps: $305,000.

Monthly vehicle mileage reimbursement average: $450.

No limit on commissions.

Exact starting compensation determined at hire.
