Job Title Dealer Account Manager
Remote – on the road
Position Overview Our Dealer Account Managers serve as the primary point of contact for our dealer partners, helping them sell more cars and trucks by financing more customers. The role is dynamic, field‑based, and offers high earnings potential with a highly incentivized performance‑based compensation package. A motivated and driven individual can earn up to and beyond a six‑figure income.
Responsibilities
Prepare presentations and proposals to communicate company products and services to all levels of management within independent and franchise dealerships.
Identify sales prospects and contact assigned accounts.
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
Develop, maintain, and grow current and potential dealer partners within the independent and franchise dealer communities.
Provide constant, effective communication via phone and in‑person visits to train on current programs and funding requirements.
Assist with restructuring vehicle loans for approval in a profitable manner for Westlake and the dealership partners.
Help prepare sales contracts by educating dealers on the verification requirements.
Maintain up‑to‑date sales materials and current product knowledge.
Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in automotive, finance and sales (required).
1–2 years of previous sales experience with a proven track record of success.
College degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
Strong computer skills and adaptability to new technology.
Goal‑oriented with a desire for improvement and advancement.
Able to communicate and work amicably with diverse teams.
Knowledge/experience with DealerTrack, RouteOne, or CUDL beneficial.
Previous outside sales experience preferred.
Significant local travel required; possession of a valid state driver’s license.

Compensation Target first‑year income: $60,000–$130,000. Self‑determined, performance‑based compensation package. First‑year guaranteed minimum income starting at $5,000 monthly + performance commissions; thereafter, monthly base of $1,000 plus commissions.
Average earnings after 1 year: $160,000. Top 25 % reps: $245,000. Top 50 % reps: $305,000.
Monthly vehicle mileage reimbursement program average: $450. No limit on commissions.
The exact starting compensation will be determined at hiring, dependent on geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
