Senior Grants Accounting
The Senior Grants Accounting position is a professional‑level position that is responsible for assisting in the administration of all grants in the City of Cambridge. This position will report directly to the Finance Director.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing compliance with grant guidelines, preparing comprehensive financial reports, monitoring expenditures, and maintaining accurate records.
This position will work closely with the Grant Coordinator in the City Manager’s Office during the pre‑award planning process and post‑award administration of grants as assigned. It requires interaction with various municipal department heads and their staff, and developing pre‑award planning strategies to ensure that grant applications and awards are in compliance with municipal regulatory, funding agency, State of Maryland, and federal policy requirements. The position provides guidance and support in the administration of grants.
The role requires excellent organizational skills, superior interpersonal skills, and the ability to cooperate with departments, employees, the leadership team, City Manager, Mayor, City Council, and diverse stakeholders.
