Order Picker

Job Summary:
We are hiring an Order Picker for our busy warehouse facility in Richmond, Virginia. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety. You will work with a team to ensure that orders are picked correctly and efficiently, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our logistics network. The ability to work in a physically demanding environment and follow instructions precisely is key.
Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order sheets or using a scanner and voice-directed system.
• Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
• Transport picked items to designated packing or staging areas.
• Operate electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
• Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to a supervisor.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, such as stocking or basic inventory tasks.
• Must be able to perform tasks involving lifting up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret order forms and item numbers.
• Experience with RF scanners or voice-picking technology is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Understanding of warehouse safety practices and proper lifting techniques.
• Must wear required PPE at all times.
