Overview
Immediate opening for a SOLO Non‑CDL Truck Driver at Ryder in Edgewood, NY. Desired applicant: 21+ years old, minimum six months verifiable driving experience, and a valid driver’s license.
Compensation
$980 per week (or more). Hourly pay: $24.50. Hours: 40–50 per week, scheduled Monday – Friday, dispatch at 5:00 AM. Ryder drivers are paid weekly and receive paid training.
Route & Equipment
Deliver within a 250‑mile radius of Edgewood, NY, including the five Burroughs. Route is local home daily with a 26’ box truck, dolly, and door cart. Freight consists of touch‑window and door furniture. Trucks are 36‑month or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance, and trailers are fueled at over 800 nationwide maintenance facilities.

Requirements
Minimum 21 years of age Minimum 6 months verifiable driving experience (straight or box truck) Minimum 6 months experience within the last 3 years, or 2 years within last 5 years, or 5 years within last 10 years Pass a Ryder drug test, background and motor‑vehicle check, DOT physical, and Ryder road test Valid driver’s license Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions; read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Responsibilities
Safely operate vehicle within and outside route limits while complying with safety regulations Maintain continuous training and customer service standards Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and agency rules and guidelines Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards Maintain accurate records; load/ unload freight or assist with freight movement as required by customer Perform other tasks as assigned
