Assisted Living Aide/Transportation Aide We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Assisted Living Aide to provide personal care and assistance for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, a strong work ethic, and the ability to provide high-quality, compassionate care. As an Assisted Living Aide, you will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life of our residents by ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well‑being. This position is full‑time, with a 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm shift.

Job Summary: Provide routine assistance with ADLs in accordance with our established policies and procedures and as may be directed by the Residential Care Director or a nurse, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Essential responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Perform all assigned duties in accordance with our established policies and procedures, assistance with ADLs, and our safety rules and regulations.

Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, denture and oral care, toileting, incontinence, grooming, laundry.

Encourage, invite, and assist residents to organized activities.

Provide surrey transportation for residents within campus.

Respond to medical emergencies according to protocol.

Assist residents to go for a walk.

Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information.

Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions to the nurse or Residential Care Director immediately.

Document required information as instructed.

Answer resident call lights promptly; ensure the call system is within the resident's reach when in bed.

Serve drinking water as required; ensure that water pitchers are clean and filled with fresh filtered drinking water daily.

Attend and participate in educational in‑service programs as required.

Ensure that assigned areas are neat, clean and that supplies are promptly stored and replaced before the end of the shift.

Maintain infection control and prevention practice according to policies and procedures.

Make beds and other light housekeeping tasks as directed.

Assist residents to and from bathrooms as needed. Report any incident of unmanaged incontinence to the nurse or Residential Care Director.

Accompany resident to appointments as needed.

Respond to medical emergencies as needed.

Assist residents with self‑administration of medications.

Manage medical and non‑medical appointments for residents according to policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

At least 6 months of caregiving experience, or related experience.

Ability to provide a 2‑person assist when needed.

Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

CA DMV record clearance.

CPR certification a plus, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Intermediate use of computer systems.

Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Work cohesively with co‑workers, residents/family members, and the public.
