Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, as well as support seasonal resets and installations when needed. You may occasionally work with other company products in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details
Your starting hourly pay rate will be $14.00-$16.00 depending on your skills and experience.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Average weekly hours are between 10-15 hours per week.
Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day engagement: Use a Hallmark mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys. Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers.
Holiday support: Provide additional days and hours during holiday peaks (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). You may be required to work on the holiday itself.
Department resets: Participate in installations, fixture adjustments, and product relocations. Two‑week notice is given for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
Team collaboration: Support fellow merchandisers across territories as needed.
Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, routinely pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. You will also kneel, squat, walk, stand throughout the day, and may climb stairs or step ladders.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum age 18.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Capability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Proficient with a digital handheld device.
Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
Reliable transportation to assigned stores.
