Position Overview Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Senior Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, Second Shift 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm.
Hourly Pay: $32.00 per hour.
Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification up to $700.
Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter.
Sign‑On Bonus: $1,750 at 30 days and $1,750 at 90 days.

Responsibilities
Perform vehicle maintenance and repair, including standard and preventive maintenance.
Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer.
Complete detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
Replace defective components as instructed.
Work unsupervised on most tasks and support facility maintenance duties.
Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaints.
Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
Work in compliance with all federal, provincial, and corporate guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT).
Act as mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.
Access and use internal and external maintenance documents.
Other support duties as required, including Service Island support.
Complete SBTIII training within 180 days (SBT220).
Complete 2 of the OEM On-Line diagnostic scan tool software courses as required by location.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Vocational or Technical Certification or Post-Secondary degree or technical certifications preferred.
Basic tools required.
Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventive maintenance, basic diagnostics and repairs of AC and electrical systems.
Three (3) years or more relevant work experience preferred.
Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred.
All other certifications required by location.
Minimum of 2 years experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment.
Knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.
Pass a Ryder Drug Test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from prior employers for the last 3 years.
Important Note Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
