Role Description We are seeking an experienced and organized
Legal Secretary
to provide high-level administrative support to attorneys. The ideal candidate will have strong legal administrative skills, be comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information, and thrive in a fast-paced legal environment. This position is on-site and in-person,
not
a remote position. Accordingly, all interviews for this position will be conducted in person at our office.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate court appearances
File legal documents with courts (e-filing and hard copy)
Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files
Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of legal filings
Communicate with clients, courts, and other attorneys professionally
Handle billing and time entry tasks using legal billing software
Perform general administrative tasks (answering phones, managing emails, and office support)
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems
Familiarity with legal terminology, court rules, and filing procedures
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
Experience with Clio is a plus
Legal Document Preparation and Legal Assistants skills
Knowledge of Law and Clerical Skills
Strong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Attention to detail and accuracy
Experience in family law
