Attorney Practice Coordinator – New York (Hybrid)
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Attorney Practice Coordinator to provide high-level administrative and organizational support to multiple attorneys. This role requires exceptional time management, communication, and organizational skills, along with a strong understanding of state and federal judicial systems and agency procedures in labor and employment law. This is a hybrid position based in New York, with an in‑office schedule of 2–3 days per week.
Compensation: Hourly rate:
$48.35 – $53.57 , based on experience and education, plus eligibility for performance‑based bonuses. A comprehensive benefits package is available, including health, retirement, and wellness programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate attorney support across internal teams, including calendar and billing functions.
Prepare and submit accurate documentation and instructions for internal resource teams.
Communicate with case teams to prevent duplicate requests and ensure workflow efficiency.
Monitor and verify court and agency deadlines; alert attorneys as needed.
Create and update litigation matters in document management systems.
Draft and finalize Tables of Contents (TOCs) and Tables of Authorities (TOAs).
Manage document filing and e‑filing with courts and agencies in compliance with applicable rules.
Maintain attorney contact lists and client relationship data.
Submit daily task logs detailing projects and assignments.
Assist with reviewing and revising client pre‑bills as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum
5 years of experience
as a litigation secretary or in a similar legal support role.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Advanced time management and proactive problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Expertise in creating TOCs and TOAs using Best Authority.
In‑depth knowledge of court rules and electronic filing procedures.
Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Adobe, and document management systems.
Experience with legal technology tools (e.g., BigHand, NetDocuments).
Knowledge of legal terminology.
