A well-established litigation firm is seeking an experienced
Legal Secretary
to provide administrative and secretarial support to a team of litigators. This role focuses primarily on
business litigation
in
state and federal courts .
Key Responsibilities
Provide primary legal secretary assistance to principal attorneys and backup attorneys.
Prepare, format, and edit litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery, and tables of authorities.
Review and finalize pleadings; coordinate service and filing.
Manage court e‑filings for state and federal courts.
Retrieve and circulate documents from court services and websites.
Process daily mail and emails; maintain electronic and physical matter files.
Coordinate with paralegals on calendaring and deadlines.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of
state and federal court procedures
and e‑filing systems.
Proficiency in
Clio
(document management and calendaring),
Best Authority , and Microsoft Office Suite.
Minimum of
3 years of litigation secretary experience
preferred.
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Annual Salary Range:
$90,000–$105,000
Benefits:
401(k) with
3% safe harbor , profit sharing, health benefits, 15 PTO days to start.
Schedule
Hybrid:
3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Hours:
9:00 AM–5:30 PM (7.5‑hour day with one‑hour lunch)
