Lead Construction Worker – (Travel Work) We’re hiring a skilled, motivated construction laborer with leadership potential to join our team specializing in commercial store rebuilds and tenant‑improvement projects — including UPS Stores, retail suites, and shopping center renovations. This is a travel‑based role with steady work, competitive pay, and all travel expenses covered.

Pay & Benefits

$25-30/hr

Daily per diem for meals

Lodging and travel fully covered

Strong performers can move into lead roles or permanent positions

Schedule & Work Environment

First assignment: 30‑day commercial remodel project in South Dakota

Next project: Fargo, North Dakota

Consistent travel work available for high‑performing team members

Job Duties

Perform rough and finish carpentry for commercial remodels, including framing, blocking, and trim work

Install doors, windows, cabinets, shelving, and commercial fixtures

Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, and construction drawings

Measure, cut, and assemble materials with accuracy and efficiency

Build and install walls, partitions, counters, and service areas common in retail and tenant‑improvement projects

Operate hand and power tools safely and confidently

Ensure work meets commercial‑grade quality standards and project specifications

Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure materials are staged properly

Take initiative on‑site, help coordinate tasks, and guide junior laborers or helpers.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, subcontractors, and store managers during remodels

Requirements

General construction labor experience

Skilled with hand and power tools

Carpentry and concrete experience

Ability to read blueprints and accurately use a tape measure

Strong work ethic and ability to take charge when needed

Professionalism when working in active commercial environments

Willingness to travel for extended projects

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
