About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a detail-oriented
CAD Drafter
to support complex, high-impact infrastructure and power generation projects. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, procurement, customer support, and external partners, playing a critical role in translating complex technical requirements into precise construction and installation drawings.
In this position, you’ll contribute directly to large-scale machine foundation and power generation installations by producing high-quality CAD drawings that enable accurate quoting, fabrication, and execution. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and customers, ensuring all designs meet strict technical and regulatory standards. Projects You’ll Work On
Machine foundation layouts for power generation and industrial equipment
Construction drawings supporting large-scale, technically complex installations
Detailed kit, fabrication, and shop drawings used for quoting and execution
As-built documentation and revision-controlled drawing packages
Cross-functional design coordination with internal engineers and external engineering teams
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Creating precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings using
Revit and AutoCAD
(SolidWorks and other tools as applicable)
Developing fully detailed plans that include dimensions, materials, tolerances, and construction notes
Reviewing, updating, and revising drawings throughout the full project lifecycle
Managing drawing files, version control, and structured documentation systems
Collaborating with engineers, architects, project managers, and customers to clarify technical requirements
Ensuring all deliverables comply with industry standards, internal guidelines, and applicable regulations—particularly within
power generation and machine foundation design
Supporting field measurements or site visits when needed to validate design inputs
Identifying potential design conflicts or risks and proactively communicating them to the project team
Assisting with as-built documentation, fabrication details, and shop drawings
Contributing to continuous improvement of drafting standards, templates, and internal workflows
What Experience You Should Bring
Strong proficiency with CAD platforms, specifically
Revit and AutoCAD
(required)
Solid understanding of technical drawing standards, drafting principles, and best practices
Ability to interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and complex technical documentation
High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
Working knowledge of architectural, mechanical, or civil engineering concepts
Education & Professional Background
Certificate, diploma, or associate degree in Drafting, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
3+ years of professional CAD drafting experience
(entry-level candidates with strong education or training may also be considered)
Prior experience in power generation, foundation construction, manufacturing, or engineering-driven environments is highly preferred
Office-based role with occasional site visits based on project needs
Standard business hours with flexibility for project-driven deadlines
Daily work performed using CAD software on a dedicated workstation

Timely delivery of project milestones
Compliance with drafting standards and technical specifications
