Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.**What You'll Be Doing*** Assist in daily plant operations including batching, dispatching, and delivery coordination.* Monitor and support quality control processes to ensure product consistency and compliance.* Participate in inventory management of raw materials including aggregates, cement, and admixtures.* Collaborate with maintenance teams to understand equipment upkeep and reliability.* Shadow the production supervisor and area manager to learn operational decision-making and leadership practices.* Support safety initiatives and participate in safety audits and training.* Engage with customers and sales teams to understand service expectations and product performance.* Analyze operational and financial data and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.**What Are We Looking For*** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.* Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.* Effective communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn supply chain systems.* Demonstrated initiative and commitment to professional growth.**Work Environment*** This role involves working in both office and operational settings, requiring flexibility and a hands-on approach to learning.* Primarily office-based with regular site visits.* Requires travel to various locations within the assigned area.* Must be able to work in varied weather conditions.**What We Offer*** Competitive base salary* 401(k) retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions* Highly competitive benefits programs, including:
