Junior Architectural Designer/Job Captain
WHA office in Irvine, CA has an opening for an Architectural Junior Designer / Job Captain to be working in a full-time position with full benefits. Experience preparing Schematic and Entitlement packages is a plus Develop and work with design team on Conceptual design Possible Hotel and resort experience Small interior projects Creation of construction drawings - design development and construction document phases Provide support to Project Manager(s) and Principal(s) Coordinate with Planner, Designer and Project Manager on the technical aspects of the drawings to complete drawing packages This position would give a team member experience in the coordination, planning, and preparation of site plans, design drawings, presentation graphics and construction documents Develop understanding of Building codes and Planning & Zoning Department Requirements Ability to work on projects from conception through construction. Ability to earn AXP hours and work with licensed Architects to gain experience and hours towards becoming licensed Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture Experience in Mixed-Use Architecture Some knowledge of accessibility requirements. Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs Graphic skills, hand sketching Photoshop, sketch-up, InDesign and Lumion Ability to work with others in a create environment. Salary based on experience level and years in industry Salary Range: $75,000 +/- Seniority Level
