Tractor Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled and reliable
Tractor Mechanic
to inspect, maintain, and repair tractors and other agricultural equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on mechanical experience and a strong work ethic, with the ability to diagnose problems efficiently and work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on tractors and farm equipment
Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections
Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper performance
Keep accurate service records and communicate clearly with customers or supervisors
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Travel to job sites for on‑farm repairs, if required
Qualifications
1+ years of experience working on tractors or heavy equipment (more experience = higher pay)
Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in various conditions
Preferred Experience
Hydraulic systems
Diesel engines
Electrical diagnostics
Welding and fabrication
Specific brands (John Deere, Case IH, Kubota, etc.)
