We are seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, hands‑on experience working with industrial, construction, or agricultural machinery, and the ability to perform preventative maintenance with minimal supervision. Bonus points for candidates with agricultural machinery or farm equipment experience.
Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural issues on various equipment. Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, drive systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical components. Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Inspect equipment condition and recommend necessary repairs or replacement parts. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts documentation. Safely operate hand tools, diagnostic equipment, welders, cutting torches, and shop machinery. Troubleshoot and repair agriculture‑specific machines (tractors, combines, balers, irrigation equipment, etc.) — preferred but not required. Ensure equipment meets safety requirements and manufacturer standards. Collaborate with operations teams, drivers, and supervisors to prioritize repairs. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
