Base pay range: $32.00/yr - $38.00/yr
Summary Responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment used within the pipe fabrication shop.
Responsibilities
Conduct detailed inspections of cranes, rollers, welding machines, benders, blasting & coatings equipment, facility lighting, forklifts, man lifts, scissor lifts, Pettibone’s, and other such equipment as might be required.
Perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment including cranes, rollers, welding machines, benders, blasting & coatings equipment, facility lighting, forklifts, man lifts, scissor lifts, Pettibone’s, and other such equipment as might be required.
Perform repairs and general maintenance of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment to include gas, air and water lines.
Inspect, repair, and perform general maintenance on small tools such as air tools, lawn equipment, hydro test plugs, etc.
Responsible for the breakdown, set up and repositioning of fabrication equipment throughout the facility such as orbital welding machines, cutting machines, blast media hoppers.
Complete repairs, assembly, modifications, and testing to required standards.
Operate shop hoist, overhead cranes, forklifts, scissor lifts, man lifts, and other related shop equipment as may be required.
May assist the electrician/electrical technician as required.
Properly document work performed as directed by supervision or enforceable documents such as Code, Quality Manuals, procedures, work instruction, etc.
Protect and preserve material when handling to prevent damage and deterioration.
Seek help when in doubt in how to proceed and immediately notify shop supervision.
Use the appropriate tools and equipment for the task being performed.
Take proper care of tools and equipment.
Perform additional duties as required.
Education & Qualifications
3+ years of relevant work exposure and experience.
Familiarity with fabrication and manufacturing shop roles and responsibilities.
On-the-job training on maintenance software if applicable (e.g., ToolHound).
