Sheet Metal Assembler
Payrate:
$26 to $32 per hour, DOE
Shift:
6:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Thursday

Job Description As a Sheet Metal Assembler, you will efficiently and accurately assemble components and materials in accordance with plans and specifications. You must understand written and verbal instructions while following drawings and work instructions. You will work with metal cladding, insulation, and steel components, utilizing skills in carpentry or roofing, material handling, and mechanical assembly. Maintaining a safe work environment through organization and housekeeping is essential.
Responsibilities
Assemble structural metal building panels in a manufacturing setting.
Operate hand and power tools effectively.
Use measuring devices, including squares and tape measures, accurately.
Participate in safe material handling and suspended load movements.
Follow instructions and execute assigned duties within set timeframes to ensure goals are met.
Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Experience in sheet metal fabrication, repair, assembly, installation, and cutting.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and using tape measures down to 1/16th inch.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with general trade skills for siding, roofing, metalworking, or assembly.
Ability to select proper tools and operate non-specialized shop equipment.
Work Environment Work within an open-air building exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors. You will be regularly required to have full mobility in your upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, work in various positions, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls. You must be able to lift, pull, and push material and equipment, lifting up to 70 pounds. Overtime is based on performance.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 – $32.00/hr.
