Skilled carpentry work in the supervision of journeymen in the construction, alteration, and repair of wooden structures, forms, and equipment used in general construction work; and related work as required.
Permanent or probationary status and one (1) year of full-time experience in the classification of Carpenter with the City of New Orleans. OR: Five (5) years of full-time experience in the trade of carpentry at the journeyman level. A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%, will be applied. Credit for related experience will be considered only if gained within the last ten (10) years; all related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes.
