Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details Starting pay
will be $17.00 to $17.25 depending on skills and experience. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
Position type
Part‑time with a variable schedule.
Average weekly hours
8–10 hours.
Availability the week before and the week after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Professional interaction with store employees, management, and customers is vital.
Holiday support: During peak periods (Valentine’s, Easter, Mother’s, Father’s, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) expect additional days and extended hours. May work on actual holidays including weekends.
Department resets: Participate in installations, fixture building, and relocation of card departments. Two weeks’ notice for remodel assignments. May include evenings or weekends.
Team collaboration: Support other merchandisers in the field organization as needed.
Physical Requirements High energy, push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, step ladders.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years old.
Read, write, and understand English.
Ability to lift 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents.
Access to Wi‑Fi and internet.
Consistent transportation to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
