MFG (Market Fresh Gourmet) is a growing multi‑concept restaurant group with four concepts – Corndance Tavern, Bourbon & Butcher, Evil Czech Brewery and Jesús Latin Grill & Tequila Bar – located in Mishawaka, IN. Our butcher shop provides locally sourced meats, while the commissary kitchen produces house‑made products for all locations. With multiple concepts in three locations, there is something for every personality!
Responsibilities
Take orders from customers for food and beverages.
Deliver all beverages in a timely fashion.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and appearance of your section.
Run food whenever needed to both your tables and teammates.
Collect customer payments and provide change promptly and courteously.
Work private events in the event space on the upper level.
Maintain Carnegie Library & Jesus Latin Grill service standards as outlined in the training program, standards of operation, and policies and procedures.
Provide food and beverage service to clients and guests, adhering to service standards.
Accurately execute client Banquet Event Orders and attend to guest requests in a prompt and friendly manner.
Set up the event room according to the BEO and event diagram, and Carnegie Library standards of service for events.
Consistently sanitize work areas, refill/stock containers and supplies.
Always work as a member of the team, offering assistance to teammates when needed.
Rectify any client or guest complaint quickly and notify management immediately.
Consistently be in full uniform and ready for work at the time you are scheduled to begin your shift.
Maintain good conduct, a strong work ethic, and safe working habits.
Attend all service staff training courses and meetings as scheduled.
Perform additional tasks as needed or directed.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a server.
Ability to communicate menu items and ingredients to customers in a friendly manner.
General knowledge of wine, cocktails, and beer.
Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods.
Excellent listening and response skills to customer needs.
Courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor.
Ability to multitask efficiently.
High school diploma preferred.
Those with experience will be considered for a bartending role.
Benefits All employees receive a 35% food discount at all MFG locations (excluding private events). Alcohol remains full price. Employees become eligible for Health, Dental, and Vision insurance after 60 days of employment.
PTO: Five paid days per year (possible to accrue more with continued service). Full‑time hourly employees (over 30 hours) earn one week of paid vacation after 24 months of employment. Each year of employment adds an additional PTO day.
Holiday Pay: The restaurant is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Independence Day, Super Bowl Sunday, and sometimes New Year’s Day. These days are paid holidays for all salaried employees.
401(k) & Match: Employees may contribute to their 401(k) after 12 months of employment, with up to a 5% match of their salary.
