About MFG
MFG (Market Fresh Gourmet) is a growing multi‑concept restaurant group with four concepts in Mishawaka, IN: Corndance Tavern, Bourbon & Butcher, Evil Czech Brewery, and Jesús Latin Grill & Tequila Bar. We operate a private event space, a locally sourced butcher shop, and a commissary kitchen that produces house‑made products for all locations.
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Line Cook to prepare and cook a variety of dishes for restaurant guests at any of our locations. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality food, manages multiple priorities, contributes to a friendly team atmosphere, and holds (or is willing to obtain) ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification.
Responsibilities
Inspect and clean food preparation areas, equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food‑handling practices.
Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking quality, tracking inventory, and rotating stock.
Store and cook food at correct temperatures by regulating ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking.
Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a restaurant cook preferred.
ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification, or willingness to obtain it.
Ability to lift 30+ lbs and work standing for 8+ hours.
