Position Responsibilities In this hands‑on role, you will partner closely with cross‑functional teams to take complex mechanical systems from early design through fabrication, installation, and commissioning while supporting high‑profile projects.
Lead mechanical system design for actuators, gearing, weldments, wheel assemblies, bearings, hydraulics, and motion mechanisms
Coordinate daily with a remote engineering team to maintain technical alignment and execution pace
Own project deliverables, timelines, and budget performance for assigned workstreams
Perform engineering calculations, FEA, and formal design reviews to validate solutions
Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues quickly
Oversee fabrication and integration to ensure build quality matches engineering intent
Support field installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and corrective actions as needed
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program
5+ years of experience designing complex mechanical systems and assemblies
Prior work in themed entertainment, amusement systems, or large‑scale moving structures
Proficiency with SolidWorks and FEA tools used for structural/mechanical validation
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across distributed teams
Knowledge of applicable standards such as ASTM F2291, AISC, and AWS
U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent resident status
Ability to travel up to 20%
Preferred Requirements
Master’s degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering
Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Hands‑on background supporting fabrication, installation, or commissioning activities
Experience integrating mechanical systems with electrical/controls interfaces
