Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Pay: $35.25 per hour

Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification up to $700

Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter

Tool Box/Tool Allowance

CDL A or B required

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Weekends OFF

Hours: Second Shift 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Vocational or Technical Certification, Post-Secondary degree or Technical Certifications preferred

Basic tools required

Proven aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work)

Basic diagnostics and repairs, including AC and electrical systems, required

Three or more years relevant work experience preferred

All other certifications required by location

Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

Minimum 2 years experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment

Computer skills (PC, Windows, mouse, etc.)

Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire

Pass Ryder Drug Test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, Ryder background and motor vehicle check

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including standard and preventive maintenance

Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable

Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision

Replace defective components as instructed

Work unsupervised on most tasks

Perform facility maintenance duties

Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint once assigned a task

Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available

Work in accordance with all federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines

Act as mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels

Access and use internal and external maintenance documents

Other support duties as required, including service island support

Complete SBTIII training within 180 days and required OEM on‑line diagnostic scan tool software courses within 365 days
