Job Description
Seal, fillet and fay, cap seal, brush coat, etc. for major assemblies, sub-assemblies, precision bench and integral fuel cell.
Apply scotch cast, leveling compound, aerodynamic seal and pressure test, using drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements and established procedures.
Training and Assistance
Work with blueprints, changes, specifications, work orders, etc. sealing to quality requirements.
Complete required data gathering transactions to facilitate all sealer progression.
Perform any and all required pickup, rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing or check during or after final seal and/or seal progression.
Use measuring instruments as required to accomplish work assignments.
Report and/or investigate job handicaps such as errors, assembly procedures, tools, sequences, etc.
Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training, coaching and assisting employees of all classification levels.
Document any discrepancies according to specification, process, and procedure.
Temporarily attach parts and or assemblies, install collars and other hardware not related to drilling or countersinking.
Integral Fuel Cell Sealing
Apply sealing compounds to seal fuel cell and related wing section components.
Skill & Experience
Sealer – Major Assembly / Large structure sealing / Aerodynamic seal.
Sealer – Major Assembly.
Large structure sealing.
Aerodynamic seal.
Must be able to work either shift.
Must be eligible for rehire at BOEING.
737 rework – sheet metal mechanics; a structures background is helpful.
Client will schedule/pay for flights (Mileage reimbursement is offered if candidate chooses to drive instead of fly).
Client is offering hotel reimbursement for training only while in Wichita.
Pay Rate plus $110 per diem/week paid to workers.
Training will take place in Wichita, KS or in Renton, WA (TBD).
*Dependent upon workload there can be overtime. Have no way to GUARANTEE overtime.*
Must be able to pass the Plate Test.
