The Capital Contract Manager (CCM) is responsible for the strategic and tactical development and management of agreements for Capital Equipment including acquisition, maintenance, repairs. The CCM develops and implements contract strategies for major capital equipment and services, negotiates all commercial (and in some cases technical) aspects of purchases, provides purchase recommendations based on cost, quality, and delivery, and leads discussions for any post contract disputes. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a work‑related field/discipline from an accredited college or university or five (5) years of related work experience in Contract Administration, Vendor Management or Purchasing, preferably in a healthcare provider setting Experience with PeopleSoft; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint Scheduling Requirements
Full‑Time Days Essential Functions
Manage the Capital Equipment portfolio ensuring contracts are current and produce value for the organization Build an overall project budget, compile budget requests, and generate capitalization plan based on project timeline Lead cross‑functional teams in developing and implementing equipment standards and cost‑reduction initiatives Participate in the annual Capital Budget process Initiate, negotiate, and participate in cooperative purchasing agreements with outside vendors, GPO bulk buys, and governmental agencies Maximize vendor discounts, GPO bulk, and other incentive opportunities to align with quarterly and annual incentives Evaluate bid responses and recommend bids of acceptable quality, cost savings, and payment terms for final approval Develop strategy with BioMed and Capital Equipment Management to extend the life of Capital Equipment Establish and advise on policy and procedures related to Purchasing, Fleet Services, fleet replacement, and parts inventory; serve on committees and subcommittees related to capital Manage end‑to‑end processes with all teams (Operations, Finance, Purchasing, Customer Service, A/P, etc.) to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and achieve desired results Manage key suppliers to ensure they meet contractual obligations and leverage sourcing cooperation for mutual benefit Develop and implement a process to manage the disposition of assets to maximize value for the system Monitor and manage relevant metrics including spend analytics, operational efficiencies, supplier performance, and benefit capture from procurement activities Other Duties
