Marketing Specialist
Location: System Business Office, Department: Affiliate Marketing, Req #: 0000220000, Status: Salaried, Shift: Day, Pay Range: $62,476.00 - $88,248.00 per year.
Pay Transparency The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview The ideal candidate will support the growth of RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group by helping to develop, execute, and monitor marketing programs across a variety of channels including but not limited to marketing communications, public relations and social media deliverables.
Qualifications Required:
BA in Marketing/Communications or other related field required
Minimum three to four years experience in marketing and communications
Preferred:
4 or more years in a corporate, health or hospital management position with responsibilities for marketing communications and public relations activities for an organized physician practice model - preferred
Knowledge of: Microsoft Office and Hootsuite a plus
Photography and video filming skills a plus
Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure with minimal supervision
Excellent organizational abilities
Essential Functions
Research story ideas and write content, press releases, patient stories, by-lined articles and social media posts
Write, proofread and edit marketing copy ensuring accuracy, clarity and accessibility
Engage in proactive media outreach: build relationships with media to foster the best possible public image for RWJBH Medical Group and the system
Respond to requests for information in a timely manner, including evenings/weekends as needed
Manage information that is presented to the media
Develop and execute social media and email program to meet marketing communications objectives
Create internal communications and manage the facility intranet
Coordinates events, exhibits and public outreach materials including evenings/weekends as needed
Coordinate photography and video shoots and take photos/videos as necessary
Ensure compliance with privacy practices: remain knowledgeable of applicable policies and regulations
Work cooperatively and communicate openly with internal resources, clients and contracted vendors to ensure understanding of project needs, requirements, deadlines and budget
Track project expenses
Ensuring signage/posters/bulletin boards are brand consistent and updated as necessary
Participates in relevant meetings
