4 - 5 years minimum prior collision repair auto body experience, class A-Technician preferred Auto body technician's primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional customer experience through the meticulous assessment and quality repair of each customer’s vehicle to restore it to pre-accident condition Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while contributing to speed, quality and customer excellence Work with the team to achieve repair facility KPIs Act as a Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group at all times Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle Hammer out dents and apply filler resins as needed; realign car chassis and frames Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields; repair interior parts Weld and fit parts; prepare and repaint vehicles to factory specifications or approved equivalents Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair Perform other related duties as assigned Education and/or Experience Required

High school diploma or equivalent required Technical school program completion or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer Required Skills/Abilities

Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision Ability to collaborate with other repairers within an auto body shop Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade Other Requirements

Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections Note: This job description is not designed to cover every duty or responsibility. Compensation ranges: $90,000 to $140,000+; Flat Rate Hourly pay. Compensation is commensurate with location, skill, education, and experience. In the event total compensation is less than minimum wage, hours will be guaranteed at the applicable local or state minimum wage, whichever is greater. Supplemental Pay: This position may be eligible for bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives. #ABTSOUTH
