Auto Body Technician role at Gerber Collision & Glass. Responsibilities

Provide an exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repair of each vehicle to restore it to pre-accident condition. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles; align with the team to achieve repair facility KPIs and uphold the Brand Ambassador standard for The Boyd Group. Plan repair work, prepare cost estimates for customers, and use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers. Hammer out dents, apply filler resins when needed, realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage. Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair or replace glass and windshields; repair interior parts as required. Weld or attach parts and prepare/repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalent. Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair to ensure correct workmanship. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school program completion or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer preferred. Skills: Ability to read job orders, work with minimal supervision, collaborate with others in an auto body shop, and thoroughly understand repair methods and tool usage. Other Requirements: Able to work safely in a noisy environment; able to lift up to 30 pounds; able to inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions; able to bend, reach, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
