We are hiring for a Class A Delivery Driver in Hopewell, VA!

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 per year; Mileage: $0.5125 per CPM

Schedule: Sunday‑Wednesday (Night Shift)

Area of Coverage: Mostly VA, NC, PA, NJ, MD – Mainly NJ & PA

Equipment used: Class A Dry Van

Responsibilities Operates a Class A vehicle to deliver dry ice to customers’ places of business, issues or obtains customers’ signatures on receipts for pickup or delivery, operates a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment, ensures piece count matches load manifest and collects empty dry‑ice boxes to be returned to the plant or branch, and provides customer service while giving feedback to the Branch Manager.

Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections on truck according to DOT and company maintenance checklist, keep the inside of the truck clean.

Travel 25%‑50% of the time within the region, including layovers with 1‑2 weeks prior notice; when travel is expected Airgas will pay for hotel accommodations, flights or car rentals.

Secure cargo prior to and during transit.

Maintain accurate driving log information and data.

Comply with all company policies, safety policies and procedures, and DOT and OSHA requirements.

Maintain an appropriate driver’s license and DOT medical card.

Required Qualifications

At least 21 years old.

Have at least a Class B CDL with at least 1 year of experience within the last 4 years.

A Class A or B CDL must have 1 year experience, also within the last 4 years.

Graduated from an accredited truck driving school and have a diploma; this will count as 1 year of experience (within the last 4 years).

Confirmed experience driving in the military with a CDL will also count for the required experience.

No preventable accidents of any kind in the last 3 years.

No more than 2 minor tickets in the last 3 years.

No serious violation ticket (speeding 15+, reckless driving, etc.) in the last 3 years.

No suspensions of CDL in the last 3 years except for "Failure to pay child support".

No DUI in the last 7 years.

Preferred Qualifications

Forklift Certification.

Pallet Jack Certification.
