A/V Helpdesk Specialist Location: Jacksonville, FL with some Tallahassee Schedule: Fully onsite Description As a member of the on‑site technical support team, you play a crucial role in keeping IT operations running smoothly and ensuring your customers have the support they need to effectively utilize technology in their day-to-day work. Main Notes
2+ years of on‑site technical support experience, or a degree in a related discipline
Strong hands‑on A/V technical support experience with equipment in meeting rooms: Microsoft Surface Hubs, Crestron, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Condeco, Barco Click Share, Polycom, Cisco, and other A/V equipment (speakers, cameras, monitors, kiosks)
Broad knowledge of AV technology and conference‑room AV design concepts
Excellent customer service skills, meeting with users in person to resolve complex issues
Coordinate, track, and maintain inventory
Document and track the status of inquiries and coordinate appropriate responses using ServiceNow
Technical expertise in PC support: applications, hardware, tools, utilities, networking, telecommunications
Mac & iOS presence
Trainable, professional, and punctual
Independent – comfortable with remote support from the office
Self‑starter and problem solver – not afraid to ask questions
Comfortable handling many calls and heavy IT ticketing, ranging in difficulty levels
Nice to haves
Certification in Avixa CTS series
ANP – Audiovisual Network Professional Certification
Audio Visual Responsibilities of an On‑Site Technician
Microsoft Surface Hubs – configure settings, including display, audio, and network; reset or reconfigure when necessary
Crestron – diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues; ensure proper device communication; troubleshoot audio and video issues
Microsoft Teams Rooms – diagnose connectivity issues; troubleshoot user interface problems; ensure meeting information displays correctly
Support additional technologies: Condeco, Barco Click Share, Pano, Polycom, Cisco, and other AV equipment
Technical Responsibilities of an On‑Site Technician
Provide support to all customers within coverage locations (on‑site, client engagement, off‑site)
Troubleshoot and problem‑solve PC, MAC, application, AV, and network connectivity issues
ServiceNow ticket management: prioritize tickets and monitor SLAs
Support Microsoft Windows and MAC OS
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Office365
Asset management: shipping, receiving, tracking, and managing hardware assets from acquisition to disposal
Printer support – installation, configuration, relocation, troubleshooting
Event and meeting support (on‑site or off‑site)
Occasional travel may be required for other company locations, client sites, or events
Provide remote hands support guided by the network operations team
VIP/White Glove support
Occasional after‑hour support may be required
Estimated Min Rate: $25.00 Estimated Max Rate: $30.00
