Direct Sales Agent Specialist (2756) – Direct Auto
Direct Auto Insurance, a part of National General, offers a dynamic opportunity for a sales professional to grow within the rapidly expanding auto insurance sector. This role focuses on driving new business sales, building rapport with customers, and cultivating a solid book of business within the market/retail location.
Key Responsibilities
Drive new business sales and understand customers’ needs to build rapport and trust.
Attract and generate new customers and cross‑sell existing customers across Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance products.
Sell to walk‑in customers, conduct marketing calls, and make in‑person visits to create community relationships that support continued growth.
Assist customers with policy information, payments, and renewals while ensuring compliance with all rules and procedures.
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through community outreach, including local events, car dealerships, and community organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
0–2 years of sales experience.
P&C licensing (preferred) or ability to obtain required licensure within 90 days of joining.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
Successful closure of insurance and ancillary product sales.
Consistent achievement of sales goals via new business and cross‑selling/retention.
Strong community presence and ability to build referral networks.
Initiation of outbound calling to target customer bases.
Competitive market analysis and suggestion of improvement initiatives.
Collaboration with Direct Sales Leadership to plan and implement marketing and sales processes.
Delivery of optimal results across quality, quantity, productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial performance metrics.
Stay current on company underwriting guidelines and policy changes.
Handling of payments, receipt issuance, and cash drawer reconciliation.
