FAR Inspections is looking for highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders.
Most inspections are exterior only, with about 10% requiring interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
Responsibilities
Complete most inspections in 5-6 minutes.
Finish each inspection within 4 days of assignment.
Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos with brief comments.
Complete a short form in a mobile app.
Drive within the assigned county territory for extended periods, making numerous stops.
Requirements
Computer with internet connection.
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage a plus).
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Valid driver’s license and pass a standard background check.
Pay and Hours This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate that varies by county and volume. You can expect to earn roughly $30‑$40 per hour.
Depending on the county and whether it is urban or rural, you may complete anywhere from 20 to 500 inspections per month while working 2–30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates; higher volume counties have lower rates. The work is consistent month‑to‑month, and earnings increase as you become established and cover larger territories.
No mileage reimbursement beyond the flat inspection fee.
