Mortgage Field Services Inspector
FAR Inspections, based in Reno, NV, is seeking independent contractors to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. The role offers predictable full‑time or supplemental income with a flexible schedule. No prior mortgage field inspection experience is required; strong time‑management and deadline‑meeting skills are essential.
Responsibilities
Conduct exterior property inspections in assigned county; 5–6 minutes per inspection.
Complete inspections and submit reports within 4 days of assignment.
Take 9+ photos of the property and provide brief comments.
Report general property condition via a mobile application.
Spend extended periods driving to inspection sites.
Requirements
Computer with internet connection.
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage a plus); own gas expenses.
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Pass a standard background check with a valid driver’s license.
Pay and Hours 1099 contractor; flat rate per inspection. Estimated earnings $30–$40 per hour, depending on county and volume. Weekly hours range from 2 to 30, with no set inspection minimum. Lower volume counties have higher rates; higher volume counties have lower rates. No additional mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee.
