Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed variance analysis of manufacturing costs (e.g., direct materials, labor, overhead) against budget and prior periods.

Develop and maintain financial models for production costs, inventory valuation, and operational efficiency.

Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes specifically for production and COGS.

Analyze capital expenditure requests, performing ROI and payback period calculations for new equipment or facility upgrades.

Prepare comprehensive financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing operations.

Monitor inventory levels, analyze obsolescence risks, and contribute to inventory valuation accuracy.

Collaborate with operations teams to identify cost reduction opportunities and process improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and their application in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis for production costs and operational expenses.

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for financial reporting, inventory management, and production data.

Ability to analyze complex operational and financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks specific to manufacturing.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and their impact on financial performance.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with a major manufacturing ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor).

Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.

Familiarity with supply chain finance concepts and inventory valuation methods.
